Criminal Justice Instructor

Matt is an Oneida Tribal Member and grew up on the Oneida Indian Reservation. He was an Oneida Police Officer for 16 years and retired in 2016. During his time with Oneida PD, he was assigned as a Patrol Officer, Community Resource Officer, & Drug & Gang Unit Team Leader. Matt is currently a fulltime Criminal Justice Instructor at NWTC, and a part time officer with the Hortonville Police Department.

He’s a Master Vehicle Contacts Instructor, Master EVOC Instructor, Master Defense and Arrest Tactics (DAAT) Instructor, and a Firearms instructor. In addition, Matt is involved in numerous law enforcement training programs, including Native American Drug & Gang Initiative (Drug & Gang Unit), Coordinator of Northeast Wisconsin Regional Gang Conference, Green Bay Gang Task force Member, Fox Valley Gang Task Force Member, Department of Corrections Security Threats Group member, Native Gangs Specialist & Instructor, Oneida Gang Task Force, Team Leader for NADGI (Drug & Gang Unit), Street & Prison Gang training, DEA Basic Drug Investigation School, Indoor & Outdoor Marijuana Grows, Special Deputization title 21 for the FBI, Thermal Imaging Operator, Division of Criminal Investigations Drug School, Community Resource Officer, and Field Training Officer.
